How We Started: A Journey to Gluten-Free Goodness

In 2010, our journey into the world of gluten-free baking began with a simple yet personal challenge—my husband was diagnosed with gluten intolerance. At the time, finding delicious gluten-free baked goods was nearly impossible. Many options lacked the taste and texture we had grown to love, leaving us searching for alternatives that didn’t compromise on flavor.

Coming from generations of home bakers, my mom and I saw this as an opportunity to experiment and innovate. We took our treasured family recipes and began the meticulous process of transforming them into gluten-free versions. With every batch of cookies, loaves of bread, and cakes, we refined our craft, determined to create treats that not only met dietary restrictions but also delighted the taste buds of everyone who tried them.

Word quickly spread among our friends and family, who couldn’t believe that our gluten-free baked goods tasted just as good—if not better—than traditional ones. Soon, we found ourselves baking for more than just our household. Requests started pouring in, and it became clear that there was a growing demand for high-quality, gluten-free treats made with love and care.

In 2012, Twice Baked Bakery was born. We opened our doors with a simple yet powerful mission: to provide delicious, safe, and inclusive baked goods for those with dietary restrictions, as well as those without. We wanted to create a space where everyone could enjoy a sweet treat without worry.

Over the years, we’ve expanded our menu to include not only gluten-free options but also vegan, dairy-free, nut-free, and sugar-free delights. Every product we make is crafted with the same dedication and passion that started in our family kitchen all those years ago.

Today, Twice Baked Bakery stands as Long Beach’s only dedicated gluten-free, allergy-friendly bakery, serving thousands of happy customers. Our journey has been fueled by love, determination, and the belief that no one should have to miss out on the joy of a delicious baked treat.
